how sad, it is
that i've been hit by this nasty flu bug
so while the parental units are enjoying a delissssssh japanese lunch at the hilton
their daughter has to sit in front of her laptop feeling miserable and sick
while continually mopping at her nose with a hanky
need.to.get.well.by.FRIDAY!
because that is when my darling gorilla girlfriend and meself will be hittin' da shops
also going to meet pingoo grace and vajeepoos for dinner
now now now-- decisions decisions
swissotel or raffles the plaza?
raffles the plaza is LUXE but i think the rooms at swissotel are nicer
as for what to do during the day--
1. spa treatments at amrita spa-- which ones are gooood? or just lounging by the pool?
2. dinner at prego, inagiku or jaan?
3. after dinner drinks where? new asia bar, introbar?
ooh ok i love planning these little surprise thingys
this is gonna be one heckuva anniversary.
huzzah!

this heavy feeling in the pit of my stomach

then i'm going to have to stick to it
for better or for worse!

and so all good things must come to an end
z flew off this morning -insert big, dejected sigh here- (but congrats are in order for his ocs posting!)
and i had my 1st exam this morning as well, which, in my opinion, went rather horribly
possibly due to lack of intensive studying for the subject
because i have spent this week living the good life (instead of doing the aforementioned studying. pah)
fine dining at
home hill with z and his fantastic 'aussie dad'
back at jane just before we left for home hill
ashton and z
us
shopping eating and chillin with z and friends around town
brit matt and z after ice cream at mures (though why ANYONE would eat icecream when its pissing rain and its freezing, i just dont know)
us again
brit z me after a really good greek lunch at salamanca
brit and me
getting on the gas back at jane with the rest of the gang
(hilarious photos to come later)
not to forget spending quality time with z
this has been an
unforgettable week
i'll be remembering this glorious time for ages and ages to come
its been nothing short of
absolute perfection.
now the
nightmare begins
one week of exams
HATEFUL!
cant wait for next sunday though
because that means i'll be HOMEWARD BOUND
good food excellent shopping brilliant family/friends here i come!

this has, by far, been the BEST weekend i've had for ages and ages
it doesn't matter that the exams are less than a week away
my darlingest is with me once again and
nothing could be more perfect

and i have to say-- i've been spoilt rotten by him
stuart weitzman shoes (insert squeal of delight here) and a dior baggie (insert loud whooping type sound here)
what more can a girl ask for?
nuffink, that's what.
drea and den had us over for dinner tonight and it was wonderful catching up with them again
with z around it felt just like the good ole days of last semester where the 4 of us would just hang out and do stuff together
kudos to chef andrea for the fabulous dinner
denny and z went on and on a bit about NS and all that jazz (we rather expected it, i reckon), while drea and i just sat there drinking it in, albeit feeling rather lost at times
but when you're sitting there in the warm dining room, enjoying a sip of wine, a tummy full of delish food, seeing good friends and having a loved one next to you--
that's my little slice of heaven on earth, right there

that's just the fishies, folkies
i've still got amphibians (sub-class lissamphibia; orders caudata ie: newts, anura ie: frogs etc), reptiles, birds and mammals to go
not to mention the entire physio section
and i dread to think about the invertebrate section, which i'm beyond crap at
incidentally that section makes up about 50% of the exam
-weeps-
recently i've been blog-surfing a fair bit (when studying gets too mind-numbingly boring, you see, one must find other things to do innit)
and i've been reading all these angsty, depressing, cynical, emo-suprrreme entries from people older than me, people younger than me, people my age
ie: people in general
is
that the new trend?
in many of these blogs its rather apparent how
forced and
unnatural the writing is
i understand that being the owner of your own blog means you can very much do what you want with it
but what is the point of writing an e-journal when you're not even staying true to yourself, when you put up a pseudo-intellectual/depressed cynic/-insert appropriate description here- facade
i remember some of us used to read some mind-numbingly cacat blogs
ditzy, brainless, bimbotic/himbotic, wryTe-bAd-EngRrisHeE type of blogs
and hoo boy we derived a fair share of scornful laughs from them
but now i realise that gee well i've been a bit evil
at least they're not trying to be something they're not
good for them!
and somewhere else in cyberspace, someone's probably reading this very blog and smirking/scoffing at the utter inanity of it all
i dont write them "depressing thought-provoking" entries partly because i'm usually too apathetic to really give a toss about anything at all
(and on the rare occasion that i do, i cant seem to find the words to get it out. poo!)
and it is glaringly obvious when i see read entries penned by people who dont really give a shit either, but try to pretend that they do, for the sole purpose of making the contents of their blog look very emo, very clever
or worse still--
lazy dingbats who literally CUT and COPY huge chunks off someone else's (truly intellectual, truly thought provoking) blog and pass off the entries as their own
lykE oMg, itZ fOoKinG noT oBviOuS AyE~?
but for those who can actually write
write things that are
really worth reading
topics/issues that make you THINK
(unlike this blog, that i confess-- you dont need to exercise your cerebral structures v much here eh HAHA)-- not necessarily arguments regarding quantum physics/neuroscience/nanotechnology, or the works of descartes, jung, chomsky, burke and the likes
just insights, thoughts and opinions that actually make GOOD sense
you lot are blessed (to be able to write well) and thankgoodness there are blogs like that to read
because gawd knows what the avid blog readers would be reduced to if all we had to feast our eyes on were rubbishy poseurshite entries eh
